The micro:bit is a small, programmable educational board designed for learning programming, electronics, and robotics. It features a 5x5 LED display, buttons, sensors, and pins for connecting various electronic components. This allows you to create interactive projects—for example, devices that respond to motion, light, or sound, as well as control motors, diodes, and other modules. Programming is performed in the intuitive MakeCode environment, which runs directly in a web browser, so there's no need to install additional programs on your computer—all you need is internet access and a browser.
The micro:bit is compatible with numerous educational and robotics kits. When combined with construction kits, it allows you to bring your models to life—giving them movement, reactions to their environment, and various interactive features. It works with select Gigo construction kits, such as the 536052, 536053, and 536054, as well as the educational drone (536058). This allows for the extension of classes to include elements of programming, control, robotics and working with flying devices.
